Declaration of Independence

Articles of Confederation

U. S. Constitution

Bill of Rights

Constitutional Amendments

State Constitutions

We have included early constitutions from the original thirteen states and Vermont to illustrate the common themes, understanding and ideas present between the various state constitutions and the United States Constitution. How the states dealt with and understoood the various topics addresses in the U. S. Constitution can help us to better understand what the true intent of the Founders was when they addressed the same topics in the U. S. Constitution.
